FETC 2014 Technology Workshops by Rob Zdrojewski

I'm happy to be returning to Orlando, Florida to present 4 technology workshops at the annual Florida Educational Technology Conference (FETC) in January 2014.  I've found FETC to be extremely worthwhile for the past 8 years I've presented.  Join me if you are attending!

Attendees will learn how to produce screencasts on a variety of platforms such as Windows, Mac, and iOS.  Screencasts are an excellent way to digitize your teaching and invoke the flipped classroom model.  See a showcase of case studies where students were able to proceed with acquiring new learning via my screencasts while the teacher works with small groups simultaneously. View our featured case study published in T.H.E. Journal to learn more about screencasting possibilities.

Teachers will appreciate the reporting tools and the cost--as Socrative is available at no cost for K12 schools! See demonstrations of how Socrative is used for quizzes, exams, ticket out the door activities, and on the fly questioning daily for exciting formative assessment.  Bring your mobile device!

Flipping Your PD: Students as Screencasters
2-Hour Hands-On Ticketed Workshop WF1146

Why Let Teachers Have All the Fun? Attendees will learn how Rob Zdrojewski was able to flip the PD model and have his students produce training screencasts for their teachers!  This model has proven itself to be very effective as the motivation factor to produce high quality screencasts has really challenged students.  Learn more about this growing trend in Ed Tech in this article published in T.H.E. Journal.
