Screencasting Workshop- The Essential Ingredient to Flip Your Classroom

Presented by Rob Zdrojewski at the Summer Leadership Institute for Catholic School Leaders at Canisius College on June 26 2012.

Workshop Description:
Screencasting:  How To “Flip” Your Classroom
Learn how to create video-based lessons of your instruction using Windows, Mac or iPad.  In a flipped classroom, some or all of your instruction takes place outside of the classroom via teacher produced video.  This means the application (homework) portion now takes place inside the classroom where the teacher is available to work independently with students.  Specific examples will be provided from a “flipped” middle school teacher who now rarely delivers lectures standing in front of students, thanks to the flipped classroom model.  Free and inexpensive software and apps will be demonstrated.
